Jennifer Stuart of Amundsen Davis, LLC in Chicago received the 2026 Illinois Defense Counsel Volunteer of the Year award.

Her unwavering commitment to excellence and invaluable contributions behind the scenes exemplify the spirit of volunteer service this award was created to recognize.”

Before entering the legal profession, Jennifer Stuart worked and studied at leading academic medical centers, where she witnessed first-hand the impact of medical malpractice litigation on the practice of medicine. Inspired by that experience and a lifelong passion for science, she has built a distinguished career defending hospitals, health systems, long-term care facilities, physician groups, and health care professionals in complex medical malpractice and institutional liability matters. With more than 20 years of experience, Jennifer combines her clinical background and analytical approach to not only defend claims but also help clients improve outcomes and reduce future risk. She is also a Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) professional, reflecting her expertise in healthcare regulatory compliance and risk management.
