Jonathan Federman of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP in Chicago is the 2023 recipient of the IDC Rising Star Award. The award was presented during the organization’s Annual Meeting, held June 2, 2023.

“I am deeply grateful to the Illinois Defense Counsel for the Rising Star Award. I am humbled to receive the recognition and look forward to continuing my contribution to the fantastic organization,” said Mr. Federman.

“Jonathan has been an active member of the association, writing for the IDC Quarterly and volunteering with the Practice Development Committee. He has expended a great deal of time and effort for the association and defense bar at large. We look forward to many great things from Jonathan,” commented IDC President Terry Fox.

Jonathan Federman is Senior Counsel at Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani and an adjunct professor for the University of Illinois-Chicago School of Law. Jonathan focuses on insurance coverage, appeals, commercial litigation, professional liability, and general defense, utilizing his experience as judicial law clerk for an Illinois Supreme Court Justice to successfully represent his clients in all phases of litigation.
