Glenn Klinger of SmithAmundsen, LLC in Chicago is the 2022 recipient of the Illinois Defense Counsel Rising Star Award. The award was presented during the organization’s Annual Meeting, held June 24, 2022.

“I am pleased to accept the 2022 Rising Star Award and grateful to be included among such distinguished past recipients. I never imagined that my involvement with IDC would reach the level it has today, which is a testament to the organization’s strong leadership and commitment to practice development. It has been a pleasure to serve the membership and I am excited for many more years of service,” said Mr. Klinger.

“Glenn Klinger was instrumental at putting forth our new A to Z Litigation Academy allowing IDC to give their members an interactive academy on the day-to-day practice of law in our new remote world. Glenn's drive and ability to think outside the box, is why he is truly a rising star,” commented IDC President Laura Beasley.

Glenn Klinger is an attorney at SmithAmundsen LLC, where he counsels companies navigating risk and insurance across a number of industries like construction, professional services, and transportation. He provides opinion letters and claim review of commercial and professional lines of insurance and advises companies on effective risk avoidance and transfer. Glenn handles contested coverage disputes, bad faith claims, alternative dispute proceedings, and serves as monitoring counsel. A graduate of Northern Illinois University College of Law (J.D., Cum Laude), Glenn received the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Trial Advocacy for his class and remains actively involved with helping students learn evidence and develop their own advocacy style.
