Danielle Luisi of Husch Blackwell, LLP, Chicago is the 2021 recipient of the Illinois Defense Counsel (IDC) Rising Star Award. The award was announced during the IDC Annual Meeting.

“In a very difficult year, Danielle has stepped up and exemplified what it means to be a rising star. Danielle has played an integral part in the success of the Toxic Tort Committee. Her contributions to the committee and IDC extend to writing, speaking, and coordinating events. Whether at the forefront or behind the scenes, Danielle has demonstrated her knowledge, potential, and ability. I look forward to her continued service to IDC,” commented IDC President Nicole Milos.

Danielle R. Luisi is an attorney with the law firm Husch Blackwell LLP where she focuses her practice on the defense of product liability, premises liability, toxic tort and environmental claims. She has experience defending clients in various industries against claims alleging personal injury as a result of toxic exposures. Ms. Luisi also serves as part of the national coordinating counsel and trial teams for corporations in toxic tort litigation. She is licensed in Illinois and Missouri and is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Illinois Defense Counsel, and Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
