Rising Star
Award Recipient

Jessica Holliday of Brown & James, P.C., Belleville is the 2020 recipient of the Illinois Defense Counsel (IDC) Rising Star Award. The award was announced during the IDC Annual Meeting.

“Jessica distinguished herself by truly helping IDC grow. She has been the Chair of the Employment Law Committee for three years, and the Employment Law Committee has been one of IDC’s most active committees. Under her leadership, the Committee put on two webinars, one on the employment ramifications of marijuana legalization and another on Title IX,” commented IDC President William K. McVisk.

“My involvement with the IDC has been rewarding for both my professional and personal life. From opportunities for writing, presenting, and seminar attendance, to establishing great friendships with defense attorneys across the state, my participation in the IDC has been nothing short of gratifying. While I am very much appreciative of the IDC for the Rising Star Award, I am more appreciative of the opportunities, skills, and friendships that I have gained through my involvement with the IDC,” said Ms. Holliday.
