Rick Hammond of Insurance Claims and Litigation Consultants LLC in Lisle was honored by 2023-2024 IDC President Tracy Stevenson with the IDC President’s Award.

In honoring Mr. Hammond, President Stevenson remarked, “Rick has received multiple awards during his time with the IDC both as an Editor for the IDC then elevating through the ranks of the IDC as a Board Member then completing is time on Executive Committee cumulating in his ascendency to the President in 2009-2010. Throughout his tenure with the IDC, Rick has strived to bring new faces and new ideas to the IDC ranks. Rick was pivotal in bringing many new members into the IDC and onto the IDC Board, including me with his subtle “run Tracy run” email when he wanted to encourage me to run for the Board. I am honored to award him the President's Award for all he has done for the IDC in the past and his ongoing support of the IDC in the future.”

A former insurance coverage and bad faith attorney, Rick Hammond is Principal, Insurance Claims and Litigation Consultants, LLC where he provides expert witness services and testimony on claims and lawsuits involving insurance coverage, bad faith, claims handling, agent-broker liability, insurance regulatory issues, underwriting, insurance industry standards and its customs and practices. In addition, Rick currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University Chicago Law School. His previous experience also includes serving with the Illinois Department of Insurance and the Insurance Committee for Arson Control. Rick is a past president of the Illinois Defense Counsel.
