Adam C. Carter, Esp Kruezer Cores, LLP, Wheaton, has been selected to receive the 2021 Distinguished Member Award. The award was announced during the Annual Meeting on June 18, 2021
“Adam Carter has been an active member of IDC for several years and personifies the attributes recognized by the Distinguished Member Award through his many contributions to IDC through the Civil Practice Committee, Legislative Committee, Board of Directors and serving as a leader of the strategic planning engage pillar. Adam has also been a thoughtful advocate regarding issues relevant to the defense bar. Adam continues to exemplify the best in the practice of law by continually bringing credit to the profession, the law and IDC. The success of IDC is based upon the great contributions and the dedication of members, like Adam,” said IDC President Nicole Milos.

Mr. Carter commented: “I am humbled and flattered to be selected as a Distinguished Member of the IDC. Any organization is only as good as its individual members, and the IDC is comprised of attorneys who believe in, promote, and work toward bettering the civil justice system in Illinois, and who do so with humility and thoughtfulness. I am proud to play a role in this mission and I enjoy working with such intelligent and good-natured lawyers in doing so. Thank you to the IDC for this honor.”

Adam Carter is a partner with Esp Kreuzer Cores LLP in Wheaton. He focuses his practice in the areas of construction law, product liability, professional liability, aviation law, propane and explosives litigation, catastrophic injury and loss litigation, environmental litigation, and business torts and commercial Litigation. Mr. Carter is currently an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Defense Counsel and serves as Chair of the IDC Civil Practice and as a member of the Legislative Committee. He earned his B.A. cum laude from Augustana College in 1998 and earned his juris doctorate cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2001. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar and United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois in 2001, and has been admitted pro hac vice to defend clients in numerous state and federal courts across the country.
