An introduction to various corrosion mechanisms along with relevant codes and standard of care issues will be presented. | Dr. Megen Maginot is a Senior Consultant in the Metallurgy practice at Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi). Dr. Maginot is a corrosion engineer with over a decade of industrial and consulting experience in systems maintenance, integrity, and regulatory compliance with a background in developing field testing and sampling protocols, component failure analysis, material fatigue, root cause analysis, and metallurgical materials selection. Her work spans various components in sprinkler systems, aboveground storage tanks, residential and commercial plumbing, wastewater treatment plants, natural gas piping, transmission pipelines, oil and gas production facilities, refineries, and chemical process equipment.
