Defendant Corporate Representative Depositions in Toxic Tort Cases
Corporate representative depositions play an integral part in defending toxic tort cases. This webinar will examine strategies for preparing for and defending corporate representative depositions in toxic tort cases. This program will address Illinois and federal rules relevant to defending these depositions. Issues unique to toxic tort cases such as lack of personal knowledge and incomplete or missing historical sources of information will be addressed in the program. Featured SpeakersKelly M. Libbra is a partner in the Edwardsville, Illinois, office of HeplerBroom LLC. Ms. Libbra focuses her practice on trials involving complex business litigation matters, including toxic torts, premises liability, and product liability. She received her J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law and also holds an M.S. in Experimental Psychology from Western Illinois University.
| Eric Rosser is a partner in the Chicago office of HeplerBroom LLC. He focuses his practice on trials involving complex business litigation matters including toxic torts, product liability and personal injury. He is involved in all aspects of defending these cases, including the drafting of dispositive motions, deposing plaintiffs, fact witnesses and experts, and working with his clients to develop defense strategies through trial. Mr. Rosser earned his B.S. degree from the University of Illinois and his J.D. from Northern Illinois University College of Law.
| Tobin J. Taylor is Office Managing Partner and Shareholder in Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen’s Chicago office. He handles a wide range of civil litigation for businesses, corporations, professionals, and insurance companies. Tobin actively leads the firm’s defense of cases venued in Cook Co., IL alleging asbestos exposure or other toxic torts, including product liability and premises liability claims. He regularly serves as lead counsel in the defense and management of complex, multi-party asbestos cases. Tobin’s litigation experience includes defending various types of professionals (e.g., healthcare, legal, and design) in cases alleging malpractice, errors, or omissions. He has also defended employers and governmental entities before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts in actions alleging employment discrimination and civil rights violations. Tobin received his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from Bradley University, and his J.D. from Washington University Law School.
